Aiko

A character from ElamenSTAR Shuffle; Daughter of a weathy cheese baron, Aiko was described as the most popular (and "hottest") girl in her school. She is entangled in the events that drive the plot of the show when her father's maverick defense attorney, an elderly woman named Michiko, offers her father reduced legal fees in exchange for Aiko going on a blind date the lawyer's nerdy grandson, Shiro.

In an attempt to keep Shiro's mind off of romance she decides to teach him how to play a card game known as ElamenSTAR Shuffle (the real world's Wizbits Elemenstor Battle), which is a very popular game in the world of this series. It is at this point (in Episode #3, Let's draw) where it is revealed that she is the captain of her high school's ElemenSTAR Shuffle team. It is quickly revealed that she is involved more for the popularity that it affords than her ability to play the game because she is quickly defeated.

After her humiliating defeat at the hands of Shiro she goes almost directly to a humiliating defeat at the hands of the series' main antagonist, Svald Vhadxi. From here until the end of the season she takes on the role of damsel in distress, as well as providing a fair amount of plot-based fan service.

Trivia and Notes

  • It is implied in episode #5, Fan service and loss, that she does not regularly wear panties. This is extended into a running gag in episode #14 and recurring regularly after that. Always an object is comedically blocking the camera when a sudden unexpected gust of wind lifts her skirt.
  • Is "allergic" to Snorkiepies. Whether she does not like the taste or is actually allergic is not made clear in the show.
