Ancient Ruins of Oldness

Located in the Purpleflame Plains the Ancient Ruins of Oldness are exactly what their name implies. The Ancient Ruins was the first city founded on Zonardia by Loftia and Gerr. The city was a majestic place filled with wonders, even more so than Rainbow Hollow at its peak. However the city was destroyed after Loftia and Gerr got into an argument over a particularly shiny rock that had been found in a mine. The battle between the two siblings expanded into a full-fledged epic brawl over the entire city. Zonardians flung each other left and right into nearby buildings in epic combat. The brawl lasted an entire week until the Zonardians who were still alive realized that they didn't even know why they were fighting each other in the first place. The remaining Zonardians, having calmed down, found Loftia and Gerr unconcious in the center of town appearing as if they had knocked each other out with a final attack. The shiny rock that caused the fight was flung off the side of Zonardia and eventually crafted into the Stone of Jordane. After the rock was disposed of the Zonardians took charge of Loftia and Gerr and sent them to two separate ends of the continent. Those that took Loftia settled in Rainbow Hollow and founded her namesake, those that took Gerr settled Corusmera.

Ever since then the Ancient Ruins of Oldness have been considered an accursed place, especially by The Last Ones who say the place is haunted by "ghost-dogs". Only the mightest Duruds dare venture into the Ruins. Over time the Ruins became over grown with various flora and fauna including the unique Telltale Tree.

In Book 2 of the Quasar Riders of Zonardia, Light Wings, the Dire Dim Elf Durud Wildmane guides Raven Darkblood to the Ruins to face the "ghost-dogs" with in as part of her training. Inside she faces off against her worst fear, Lord Gunter Schwartzhart. She manages to defeat Schwartzhart with her Lightsabroc but finds that after she defeats him that she was really fighting herself.
