A berry that looks, smells and functions just like a normal Cranberry, but actually tastes like an apple.

 

Also, the favorite fruit of Lady Arisa.

 

Crabnath of Tsuburushi employed the appleberry to devastating effect when he donned The Inside-Out Cardboard Hat of Maltorian and baked seven hundred and twelve berries into a pie for Lord Scranton Stufflebeam—causing Stufflebeam to violate his geas about never eating anything that tastes like an apple, a condition of his ability to transchant three-legged stools.

 

Crabnath, a fan favorite, was sacrificed to Pahkmaan by Stufflebeam in the widely acclaimed fan story “Marquesa Misclequince and the Recliner of Botany”, in retaliation for an unrelated pie-baking incident.
