Appreciation Day
A day where everyone is supposed to compliment each other and generally be kind.
Invented and celebrated by the Peaceful Happy Singing Mountain Nuns. People generally like the nuns so much that they celebrate the day out of strained obligation rather than any real enthusiasm. Battal is a world that prides itself on its insults and fights, so being kind to every single person for 24 hours puts a harsh strain on the confrotational society.
The day immediately following Appreciation Day has the highest murder and suicide rate of any other day of the year.
