Back to Famous Bags
Bag of the Not-so-Endless Void
According to a legend told way back in Book 1: The Fires of Mount Windice, the Bag of the Not-so-Endless-Void will plunge whoever is rash enough to open it into a terrible darkness, where they will fall about fifteen feet and sustain a nasty ankle sprain.
This prophecy is fulfilled in Book 3: The Rubion Sword when Gavment Rayling is looking for a whistle (to charm the mighty canary that guards the gates of the Cerulean Citadel) and unwisely opens a seemingly-innocuous bag -- Gavment is sucked into the bag and seems to fall for two or three seconds before landing on a hard surface at the bottom of the void. He does find a whistle down there, but unfortunately, there's only a rope ladder to get him out, so he ends up out of action for a good two or three minutes.
