Battle Frosting

From the time of King Ronard, and up until the time of the Vampyric Wars, it was a popular tradition in certain parts of northern and central Battal to put delicious frosting onto weapons that were to be carried into battle. It was believed that eating the frosting from the weapons of a fallen enemy was a way to absorb their strength.

This tradition was more or less single handedly ended by the introduction of Frostingdeath, the poisonous frosted blade. Once this tactic was introduced into battle, no warrior could trust the tasty confection on the blade of their fallen foe. After that, the tradition quickly faded.
