Billy

The Wizard Mardrangion's mighty midnight-black steed. He purchased the animal from a wandering Arildi horse-trader immediately after the Siege of Trembaloo. Before the siege, Mardrangion rode a tamed Deer John named Bumble who was killed in the seige by a Wutel.

The devoted palaverer dubbed the beast Blackshadowbeautystallionflamesilvermisttornadochestnutsea but the animal's original name of Billy is the name by which he continued to be called. The beast was an impressive sight to behold. Said to be taller than the lanky wizard by more than three hoofands, and possessing a firy disposition to match his size he was as intimidating to the stable boys as he was on the battle field.

More than just a voracious, ill-tempered eater and runner down of foot soldiers on the battlefied, Billy has abilities that were so powerful that Elves suspected that he may have actually been a manifestation of the deity Orl'llln, where as Dwarves suspected he was Saturkaz incarnate.

In 18,130, at the Battle of Bouldon Hill, Mardrangion rode on the back of Billy and "fhaht ollug zied Pyto Reandnos."

When the evil twins So and So unleashed a hoard of Copper Dragons on Gerge'a in a bid to conquer it, they began by using their burrowing powers to construct a mountain range from which the twins would conduct their raids with armies of Khin mercinaries riding fierce Panthercorns. Somehow, Billy created a sonic boom which flattened the mountain range, leaving the forces without their tactical advantage and allowing "Pyto tu wyndy deigh."

The horse is said to have been "not very fond at all" of Mardrangion's wife Mau'de.
