The Bladebrothers are a group of warriors from the regions around the Castle of Drafty Winds, who were formed with the express purpose of fighting the War Men under Char Reyarteb.

 

The Bladebrothers are best known for junior member Vel Jinglefist, though they have had a few novellas dedicated to them in "official" canon.

 

Bladebrother Ranking

The Bladebrothers are a military organization, and presumably ranks ranging from cadet to general. Those Bladebrothers who achieve special recognition are granted the right to add an honorific to their rank. The honorifics, in order of prestige are

  • Claw
  • Knife
  • Sword
  • Sickle
  • Blade (This title is only awarded posthumously)

 

A famous example is Blade Cadet Vel Jinglefist, who had a prominent role in season 1 of The Wizbits.

 

The Bladebrothers are lead by the Five Bladelords, whose rank is considered to be one step above Blade General.
