Blood Pirates of Meydrag'haa

A pirate clan whose exploits have struck terror into the hearts of sea-farers for many years. Though steeped in maritime legend, they are sometimes seen consorting with Levitating Pasta Fiends in lieu of parrots. Some tales have even suggested that the pirates give the Fiends an almost religious position in their culture. They were officially declared Enemies of the Realm by King Lenord the Intentionally Aggravating. Generations of inbreeding in the clan have led to an unusually high number of midgets in their ranks.

A conflict with the Deathrider Ninja Clan has been hinted at, but never elaborated upon. Obviously, the Blood Pirates of Meydrag'haa are one of the many places where Tycho Brahe is known to have been heavily influenced by his Moominist leanings.

The Magical Bakers of Meydrag'haa were a front organization for the pirates and used enchanted rolling pins to attack their enemies.

Depiction in the animated series

In The Wizbits animated series, they are simply referred to as the Pirates of Meydrag'haa, and give the Wizbits safe passage across the ocean in a handful of episodes. In what is typical of the series, canon is broken by showing the pirates as a merry band of adventurers, constantly singing sea shanties and looking for buried treasure. It should be noted though, that while not named as such, the assassin seen attacking the captain is most definitely a ninja, and fans accept that he is a member of the Deathrider Clan.
