Discussion page for Blotch

Blotch is not an important or significant part of either the Elemenstor Saga proper or the Wizbits cartoon in specific. Recommend we delete this entry.

That's absurd. Blotch is a key part of the Wizbits saga. He saved Doodle at least three times, which is no small feat when you consider he only lasted for three episodes!

Yeah, who are you to say that Blotch isn't important enough for an entry? If the freakin' Brassiere of Holding and the Fishwife's Darner get entries, Blotch is totally worthy!

Please do not take this Recommendation for Deletion personally. It was made based on scientific criteria and consideration for significance in a larger medium. Outside of ELotH:TES fandom, Google has little to no references to Blotch. It adds nothing to this project, which is an important comendium of relevant information.

Oh, come on! You're obviously just picking on Blotch because you have some sort of beetle-phobia. The moment Blotch appeared on the show, people started complaining. Frankly, I blame you anti-beetle people for Doodle getting booted off the show.

Vote for keeping, as strongly as possible. Everyone knows about the big characters; this is exactly the sort of thing that this wiki is good for. People who want to know who Blotch was need a place to go!

I agree. Vote for keeping. (Vote deleted for agreeing with someone else. Obvious sock-puppetry)

Look, the fact is that Blotch just isn't important enough.

You have got to be kidding me! Have you even seen the show? What gives you the right to decide this?

On the contrary, Blotch is very important, arguably the most important character in the entire series. The fact that you do not realise this just shows how infantile your interpretation of the series is; you have clearly understood nothing of Tycho Brahe's true intentions in writing it. In reality, Blotch is the centre of the entire story: the whole Elemenstor Saga is in fact about his struggle for acceptance, and the lessons Blotch learns about life on the way. He may only have appeared briefly in the series, but his influence can be felt throughout: the rest of the Saga can be thought of as an extended metaphor for Blotch's experiences. In fact, it's possible that the rest of the story only ever existed in Blotch's imagination. In any case, it is clear that he was far more important than he appears on an elementary level, and to try to erase his role from the Saga is to render the whole thing entirely meaningless.

You people make me sick. Is Blotch important? What a crappy question! If it's related to ELotH:TES, it's more important than life itself! This meagre catalog can only hope to someday approach the awesome epicness of ELotH:TES, and deleting entries like those of Blotch for silly reasons like it not being important enough is crazy. If I can't catalog every word of the books, every frame of the cartoons, every death caused by the faulty toys, then I don't feel that I can call myself a true ELotH:TES fan, and entries like Blotch are as close as we can get to completeness. -TychoCelchuuu

I think that by the very nature of the wiki, Blotch needs a page. Perhaps there is more to blotch that some fans know, and it will only be added because the page only exists. If not, at least it will be the definative location for information on blotch so that other pages referencing the character can include the link rather than wasting space for a description each place where this character appears. -Tim

This is ridiculous. I can't think of a more notable character outside of the very top-tier ones - Luggage

If you delete Blotch, you're deleting a part of my childhood. Period. Who do you think you are -- George Lucas? -Artyngyle

I won't live in a world where Blotch is deleted. -Jute Mill
