Boomsticks

A new type of weapon invented during the era of The Great Breakening and employed often by Pirates and Corsairs. Boomsticks were crossbow-like weapons with a metal barrel where the arrow should be. Rocks, metal balls, and pebbles could be placed into the barrel and shot at high velocity - much like a cannon (another popular weapon of the time period). The weapon was a result of scientific invention, as well as Fire and Earth Elemenstation.

Immediately after Genja Hii debreakened The Shield and The Sickle, the Boomstick's existance and manner of manufacturing were lost forever more, thanks to a glitch in his timesorc'ley. A small organization in Battal, called the "Need to Replace Arrows" (NRA) barely remembered the Boomstick, and tried for centuries to re-invent them to no success.
