Cameo Cloak

Occasionally makes brief appearances throughout the cycle. It is said to be woven by a Tangu out of its own feathers, although what, if any supernatural powers this is supposed to give the cloak is unknown. It is however, a common fan theory that the Cameo Cloak is some sort of Invisibility Cloak, although there is nothing in the canon to support this at all.

In the cloak's initial and rather extended appearance it was referred to by name as The Rainwater Cloak in the possession of Mardrangion in Book 2, after that it appeared only by description, and only ever briefly, so the fans began referring to it as the Cameo Cloak. No mention is made of the ways in which it could be passing from place to unlikely place where it turns up across time and circumstance, but as with much ELotH:TES, it is the source of several clever fan-fic speculations.

It is thought that the gear, Natural Cameoflage is somehow purposely misspelled in order to reference the fandom's love for this cloak.
