A marsh-dwelling creature that looks quite a bit like a quadrupedal ruby-colored crawdad. Cance were originally raised as pets by Shushipodians, but during a land-expedition, Cance were scattered into the marshes of the Sickle where they grew to larger proportions. It loves living in polluted water and is feared for the powerful pincers on its front arms are capable of firmly holding, crushing, or knocking about creatures as large as a minotaur. Cance are amphibious, and do quite well in any area provided there is a source of water nearby. In dire situations, a Cance is capable of spitting out a stream of bubbles that paralyze and numb on contact, allowing it to flee or dismember its prey at its leisure.
