The Castle of Minor Irritations

The site of the Perilous Seat, the mysterious artifact sought out by Bartholomeu Chairglued, one of The Magic Sword Kings. King Bartholomeu was imprisoned there for some time in minor discomfort.

No one really knows where the Castle of Minor Irritations came from, some speculate that it was part of the original world, incorporated by the Hierarchs to put a damper on insufferable know-it-alls and headstrong youths. Their overconfidence, and tendency to go looking for trouble inevitably draws them to such quests as exploring abandoned Castles and scary-looking graveyards. In theory this is where they are taught a lesson by such completely harmless, but insufferably irritating inhabitants as the hand-biting door handles of stingy pain, or the sticky carpets of shoe ensnarement. In practice, the headstrong youths stick to pushing around young and impressionable End Tables, while the only ones to be draw into the clever ploy of the Castle of Minor Irritations are thick-headed Magic Sword Kings like Bartholomeu.

Another theory is that it was created by members of the Otherhood of the Tyrant as an early attempt to create a sense of slight disease and mild disorder throughout Battal, thereby making the lands naturally more hospitable to the forces of Darkness and Oppression. However, the Castle failed to achieve this effect, as most simply ignored it as a work of either incompetence or idiocy.
