Christine-Anne McCaoli

Author

Most notably, the author of the Halflight Saga.

Little is known about McCaoli, who is reported to be somewhat of a shut-in. She seems to exist entirely through the means of the internet and post, which was verified by a few fans who tried to find where she lived to confirm whether or not she was actually female. Reasons for this are unknown... and possibly icky. It may have to do with the fact that some people theorize that she is actually a man whose main motivation in fantasy fiction is either "cyb0rz" with naive and inexperienced young nerds... or trying to get more gifts of gold and "bind on equip" items for his World Of Warcraft characters. (McCaoli is said to be a member of the Obsidian Spur guild on the Sargeras server. Guild leader could not be reached for comment at the time this entry was written.)

McCaoli is rumored to be as young as 15, or as old as 45. Some fans have reported that (at her only book signing) she looked somewhat like "a shaved George Lucas wearing a wig." Some fans have taken this to mean that McCaoli sent one of her devoted online underlings in her place, that it was a gross impersonation... and yet another theory supports the idea that McCaoli actually IS the ELotH author, George Lucas (and a splinter faction of those who hold to this theory submit that it is actually Franz Heino).

The only known photograph of a person likely to be McCaoli was taken at a fantasy convention two years ago. The picture appeared to be of a grossly overweight woman in her mid teens to late 20s dressed up in an all-too skimply Stefarina the Vile Temptress costume.

McCaoli has been reported to be romantically linked with Cole Lehrman of the indie/punk/Elemenstor homage band, Harbinger and the Portents.

McCaoli has often been refered to by the press (primarily at the urging of her parents and agents) as a "promising young writing prodigy", but all evidence points to her being in her mid-'20s when her first books were actually published.
