This was the discussion page for _Convicted Rapist_.

Okay, this should be a quick case. It seems rather pointless to me, has nothing to do with the saga, has no canon references to it at all, is patently offensive, and I don't find it particularly funny. Any thoughts? -patkelly

I think that there was some canon material talking about a particularly grisly assault of a furniliar, not intended to be funny at all, but this doesn't appear to be a reference to that at all. -Tim

Concurance met--it's not especially interesting and, in fact, seems blatantly uncool. -Jute Mill

Especially uncool that it's a 'profession'.

Makes no sense to me either way. Seems like an attempt at humor through shock/offensiveness, and it ain't done all that well. I second the motion to kill it or whatever. -TychoCelchuuu

I agree, axe it. It doesn't belong as a proffesions, it tells us nothing that the name doesn't, and it doesn't fit with the mood of th rest of the wiki. - Quizatzhaderac

It's gone. About as open-and-shut as a discussion can get. -patkelly

Do we even need to keep this around? I think it's pretty clear why a page called "Convicted Rapist" got whacked. -TychoCelchuuu

Eh, kill this if you want. Or better yet, create Convicted Rapist (discussion) (discussion), and then we can create a discussion page for that, and so on, and so forth. Anyone have paradox negating mittens? I don't really care if this lives or dies, so I'll leave it for someone else to kill for now. -patkelly

I think it's important to keep discussion pages around for reference. It helps us keep track of "precedent", if you will. If someone comes along and says "We've deleted pages for less than this!" we need to be able to prove it, right? Also, it gives contributors examples of the things looked down upon here. ~Lucres

I second that, Lucres. --R.S.
