Is this a misspelling of Dragonapple, or does it have something to do with the great Dagon?
Indeed it does. I've added some info for clarification.
It's properly "Dagon's Dragonapple Latkes," only I don't know how to edit the link.
Properly, shmoperly. In common parlance, the name is shortened to "Dagonapple", so I see no reason to spell it otherwise here.
Haha! Imagine confusing these with Dragonapple Latkes.

Dagonapple Latkes

Named for the swordsmith Dagon, (though some say this was only the excuse given by a dyslexic chef), this favorite is always a crowd pleaser during Festivals.

Oil or lard is heated in enormous Battle Skillets like many other dangerous fried foods.

2 medium Dragonapples

1 egg(beaten)

1/4 cup flour

vegetable or mystical oil

Peel and coarsely grate the Dragonapples.

Mix with the beaten egg and flour.

Drop teaspoon size pancakes into hot vegitable or mystical oil.

Brown on both sides.

Serve with Dragonapplesauce or other mystical sauce.

Makes 10-12 small latkes.

Discussion

Does soy sauce count as mystical sauce? The guys at QFC keep laughing at me so I have to find the sauce myself. -TychoCelchuuu
Indeed it does. Just cite Wizbits if anyone gives you any guff.
