Dawinesque

A mere Sorcerer in his day, Dawinesque was nonetheless a smart young man, lacking only the Knack necessary for true gear-striking. Rather than mope about his lack of knack, he poured his studies into discovering more about the world around him, and came upon a startling conclusion.

In his book, The Origin of the Monsters, Dawinesque wrote of the contriversial theory that successful kinds of monster emerge from unsuccessful types of monsters, a way for nature to correct her own brutal and hilarious mistakes. While dismissed for some time after its discovery, Dawinesque's studies came back to bite his detractors in the ass when the harmless Ubewes' birth rate skipped a beat and quickly bred into the deadly and vicious Shatterfrag.

Besides his monster theories, Dawinesque is most remembered for The Dawinesque Awards, which are fully unrelated to his body of work, and for his numerous deadly duels with Chelwurst Damarywyn.
