Fire Elemenstors long ago realized that the biggest threat to them and their powers was simply rain. Centuries were developed to finding a cure, until finally this Gear was discovered. It creates a "shield" of extreme heat over a small area's atmosphere, right below the cloudbanks, causing any rainfall to re-evaporate before it even gets anywhere near the ground.

This makes Fire Elemenstors very popular at picnics, but others wonder why they didn't just buy an umbrella.
