Dwarvekian
When creating the Dwarvekian language, Tycho Brahe made a profound leap away from the treatment of dwarves in other fantasy. While typical dwarven languages in fiction tend to be gruff and guttural, with an accent that's almost always Scottish or Welsh, Dwarvekian was made in a very lyrical and sibilant style, greatly resembling languages more like Tolkien's Elvish. At the same time, it was always understood that Dwarvekian was spoken in the most gruff and guttural manner possible, with a thick, brogue-like accent.
Samples:
"Ss'lanada! En'daldien nysse!" - 'Fetch my grog, wench!'
"An'Syril'ess, elunath, eselath, n'tissath" - Here lies An'Syril, bloody, terrible, stout.
Note
An interesting note about Dwarvekian is that when depicted in comics and graphic novels, it is not written using the Standard Battal Alphabet, but rather uses the Roman alphabet (referred to as the Dwarven Alphabet) which most non-dwarves are unable to read. Also of note is that the peoples of Ithbarg II used the same alphabet, but with a completely unique set of pronunciation rules in their language of Bargon IV.
