The Epic Legends of the Hierarchs comic book

A comic series written by Annonymous Miranda and published by Realmworlds Publishing, the ELotH (no "The Elemenstor Saga") comic was a 57-or-so issue comics (there was some confusion over the numbering of certain comics) chronicling the adventures of the Air Elemenstor Horizon, the Extremely Elf and Barber-surgeon I'den, the Lifegiver Man-raised-by-Quilp Crisis, and their semi-leader, the enigmatic and prematurely gray Twilight. Later issues added the former foe Deldon to their ranks.

Inception

The beginnings of the comic were quite simple: Realmsworld wanted an Elemenstor comic series, and Annonymous Miranda took up the mantle of writing the series. However, due to awkward juggling of budget, the series lacked an actual artist for several issues, leaving Annonymous to do the art by herself.

Reaction

The comics were a reasonable success, even with their early artistic limitations, and have been collected in several Graphic Novels. In the light of his all-consuming neutrality (and occasional outright hostility) towards most ELOTH:TES comic spinoffs, Tycho Brahe has been immensely generous with his granting slight, damning praise to the comic*.

Discussion:

There are at least 37 actual issues and more if you count one shots and cross-overs. In fact, if you count cross-overs, there's almost 57. ~Jake
