About the Franchise

The Elemenstor franchise is the single largest fantasy/sci-fi brand today. Early fans fell in love with the world of Battal through a compelling collectable card game. The game attracted a group of hard core fans who amass giant collections of cards, work out elaborate strategies, and compete in large tournaments, the likes of which other lesser card games (such as Magic the Gathering) could only hope to compete with. Building on the world from the card game, but set thousands of years after the events described in that lore, Tycho Brahe created his Elemenstor Cycle. The thirteen novel series further built that following. Each book met with more anticipation, each release a gala event forshadowing the kind of furvor that would later appear around such books as the Harry Potter novels. At the same time, an anime set in the world of the Elemenstors (ElamenSTAR) amassed its own unique following and brought with it an American version of the show The Wizbits and the concomitant fans and merchandising opportunities.

Given the diverse and perhaps even fanatical fan base, the owners of the franchise have done all they could to provide enough content to meet the overwhelming market demands. Conventions (sometimes combined with other franchises with a large fanbase overlap, such as Star Trek), novel after novel of backstory and "extended universe" ElemenstorLance novels, and a tremendous array of spin off programs, albums, games, and merchandise seeom to only feed the fires.

Whether it is the Epic span of the Saga's timeline (think Lord of the Rings but double or triple it), the deep and compelling table-top role playing game (certainly a system described as more detail rich than that of Dungeons & Dragons), or just the community of fans who share a common passion (be it speaking Glikty and Darv or searching for Wizbits anagrams) the future for this franchise looks bright. It is truly the only modern fantasy offering that can truly be described as Epic.
