ESP (Existential Preception)

The ability to derive laws of being from the free will of others and to apply them in irrational or absurd ways. These laws are limited by the language used to express them and so this spell behaves differently depending on who it is applied to. Questions the discerning caster should attempt to resolve and points to remember in order to be sure of the spell's effect include:

  1. Is my target capable of expressing the action that I wish it to perform?
    1. Example: If your target is a War Man and your intended action is bash something with an axe then you're probably in luck
  2. Can I define it explicitly enough?
    1. Example: "Crush everyone else's skull!" versus "Crush everyone's skull apart from mine!"
  3. If a law that's not worth applying is worth thinking about, what about a law that's not worth thinking about?
    1. Example: Don't throw away laws before allowing the thought to develop clearly
  4. If you intone a law you must act upon it!
    1. Example: A general reminder to think carefully before you act

This is by no means a comprehensive list of questions and points of debate. Many sorcerers find this power too confusing to wield, some even shunning their lives entirely to search fruitlessly for some deeper meaning.
