The elderberry of Battal, it grew rampant in the areas that came into contact with Castle Eldersbane. Eldersbaneberries were popular for being one of the many things that can be used to make Cheapwine, although Cheapwine that was made from Eldersbaneberries tended to increase a thousand fold whenever Eldersbane hadn't been around for years.

 

It is briefly mentioned in The Archmagi of Eldersbane that Eldersbaneberry bushes were starting to reappear in Battal, along with passing references to Cheapwine. This kindled an interest in elderberry wine among readers of The Elemenstor Cycle.
