Japanese Version
Elemenst-Orgy of Adventure
The Wizbits, Largely unspeakable
Aired 9 June, 2003
Summary
Aired only once on normal broadcasting stations, this special was billed as an erotic "long" in the same vein of product placement as the upcoming Shanari graphic novel. Ironically, the animation quality is superb, stunningly artistic in places. Terrible, terrible places. The canonnical plot involves a group of four elemenstors who are billed as an earlier incarnation of the underdogs finding their way to The Forever Road atop its seconds-tall meatball pile in the Spaghetti Plane. How something can be seconds tall, particularly in a timeless realm is never explained and the plot becomes more incoherent from there. It quickly devolves into a very hands-on tour of strip joints.
Moral
As one of the only Japanese episodes directly redubbed, it lacked a moral all together. Some of the younger viewers have mistaken the last line "Remember, incest is wrong since there's plenty to go around" for one.
Notes
Reportedly, the producers slipped it by censors claiming a wardrobe malfunction with Ben Franklin. This has led to widespread confusion as there is no such character in the cast. It nearly led to a lawsuit as untold numbers of attentive children with inattentive parents tuned in, but this was settled out of court, largely in the form of autographed cells. It has since appeared on a number of respected Japanese DVD collections and American pay-per-view channels.
Interestingly, this episode contains the only American appearance of Dr Eggchair, but in the first scene of the episode he appears as Dr Ovinikstein. What this could mean has merely added more fuel to the fire that surrounds that character among the fan community.
