ElemenstDotOrg

elemenst.org was a marginalized ELotH fansite that operated from July of 2000 until it was taken down in January 2005. Although the site's jarring color selection, amateurish HTML usage, and random use of punctuation turned off many visitors, those in "the know" of course realized that the site's chaotic appearance was an homage to the increasingly similar erratic writing of Tycho Brahe (although see also FfaTTBE for alternate theories on the writing of the later ELotH:TES novels).

elemenst.org was originally the brainchild of diehard fan Ricky "The Elemenstorer" Denningswald. Although the site attracted a total of 6 visitors (4 if you don't count Ricky's pets) from its founding in July through December 2000, Denningswald nevertheless refused to be discouraged. He recieved his big break several months later, when his essay "On the Role of Drobnard the Unnecessarily Obscure during The Savage Brutality of the War Men" (still widely considered to be the definitive work on the subject) recieved widespread attention throughout the ELotH:TES community. Many casual ELotH:TES fans were put off by the site's seemingly poor design, coupled with its focus on some of the more esoteric topics of ELotH:TES, but over the next several years elemenst.org gained a reputation for its unparalleled archive of Furniture-on-Vampyre erotic fanfiction. In November 2003, however, tragedy struck during a routine game of Wizbits Elemenstor Battle, when on a dare Denningswald attempted to roll a Special Check Break Global Test using his tongue and choked to death on a d20. The tragedy was compounded when the results of an autopsy showed the d20 lodged in a position that could only be interpreted as having rolled a 3, meaning Ricky failed his Special Check Break Global Test by a wide margin. Following his death maintenance of the site became a joint effort among several of its members. Although it was widely felt that the quality of the updates subsequently fell off, it was not until the infamous Kinlo Schism of 2004 that the site truly fell apart as contributors lined up on different sides of the debate. As with many ELotH:TES communities across the web at the time, members cried out "A Hierarch would definitely beat Lord Kinlo in a fight because... well, duh" in the face of arguments that "Kinlo could totally take on the Hierarchs, he's like totally way more badass than those sissies". As member after member fled the disastrous feud, the site became neglected and finally closed its doors forever on January 13, 2005.

Discussion

FanbyI thought the Kinlo schism was about how Kinlo could have fought the wizbits since they lived 1000 years after he died.
