Elemenstor Gearstrike: Love Forever Eternal

The (first, one may hope) Elemenstor Gearstrike movie has recently been announced due to a minor but significant fan-following in Japan. Though little has been released so far, the film will be an hour-long special expected to be shown as part of an ELOTH:TES/ElamenSTAR animation festival planned to occur around the time the film is finally wrapped.

A few details are known so far:

  • Annonymous Miranda and Alexi Chandler are both writers.
  • Each will write one half of the film; A.M.'s portion is tentatively titled Waiting for the Wind. A.C.'s has been placed as Taste of Ashes.
  • Early production sketches show a sharply redesigned cast with a baroque and somewhat horrifying appearance. Early descriptions compare the designs to both Team SMAP, creators of the gothic-lolita ElamenDaughter manga serialized in War Loli magazine, and Zdzislaw Beksinski.
  • A startling number of erotic fan-doujinshi have already emerged involving Miranda and Chandler enguaging in all manner of non-worksafe acts as they write the movie.
  • The film will be presented to American audiences as "Love./Forever./Eternal. Elemenstor Gearstrike," due to Chandler's wish that "something of (hers) have a title with periods and forward-slashes." An extra segment dramatizing the Sovreign Animation Nation Incident is slated to pad the length to a full hour and a half.

The two authors are mainly working on the animated series, which has recently gone back on track after a fairly large setback.
