Without a doubt, the singular most terrifying monster in all of ELotH:TES lore. The Erdetrix is nothing less than pure destruction in animal form.

Physical Appearence

Erdetrix is a gigantic, lizard-like creature. Sort of. It is sixty one feet tall, and eighty-one feet long. It weighs 131 tons. It has six short legs, four of which are bear-like claws. The remaining two limbs are large, powerful, and shaped like mole claws, but with enough dexterity to pick up objects. Its main body resembles that of an ox stitched to a bipdedal dinosaur. It also has three tails - a broad and flat one shaped like an upturned rake, a scorpion-like tail complete with poison, as well as a lashing-lizard tail. It has two heads: the most notable one is a large head covered in scales and resembling that of a fiercesome humanoid reptile, albiet with the nose of a boar. It has spikes and two gigantic, bull-like horns on this head. The other head is that of a maned lion with the face of an old man, the ears of a horse, and rows of razor-sharp teeth set into its chest. It has warts, scabs, and random spikes all over its body that are shockingly white in color. On its back is a large, turtle-like shell colored brown. Its underbelly and secondary head is dull green in color. The remaining part of its body is colored black and red, and shimmers like active magma. When truly angry, the red parts of its body flash from blue to red and back again.

Characteristics

It sleeps in underground pools of magma and is supposedly strong enough to Sunder continents. Indeed, some scholars believe Erdetrix to be the true cause of the initial Sundering. It is theorized to be made of pure combinations of Fire, Earth, and Sun given physical form. Somehow, it is able to influence volcanic activity.

The Erdetrix is capable of rearing up on two legs, walking on four while using its four claws freely, or stomping about on all six limbs. It can also burrow fantastically well.

The Erdetrix can attack with its poisonous stinger tail, the spikes all over its body, its long whip-like tail, its horns, it has two mouths with deadly teeth that can eat even gigantic creatures whole. It can also seemingly cause earthquakes and droughts at will. The shell on its back allows it to deflect all spells and gears. The glowing red parts of its body are hot enough to burn flesh. If it is exposed to sunlight, it gains the ability to breathe atomic flame. To make matters worse, it can regenerate and resurrect itself, and can only be harmed by enchanted swords. No other weapon or means of attack will do. Though it only really slows it down since it can regenerate from nearly any wound.

Thankfully, the Erdetrix spends most of its time sleeping deep in the earth. However, once every 1,000 years it awakens for seven months, and goes on an unstoppable rampage to feed - killing, maiming and eating literally EVERYTHING.

History

During one of its millenial forges, the king of a small country called Perja had his men attack the Erdetrix with all of the country's men. This of course, did nothing but make it more angry. A Priestess named Georgia found the Erdetrix and used all of her powers of prayer to tame the creature and led it back to the country's capital. Terrified by the now tamed creature, everyone in the city killed it while it was too pacified to fight back (the country's chief export was enchanted swords).

Five minutes later, the Erdetrix resurrected itself by regenerating its body and destroyed the entire country.

No, Seriously, How do I Kill It?

Well, in the ELotH: TES - Pen and Paper RPG supplements, it is suggested that the only way to kill Erdetrix would be for it to be wounded enough with an enchanted sword and then for a maiden with magical powers to cast a purification Life Gear while channeling a Hierarch to finally end the life of the Erdetrix.

It has also been suggested that it could be supsceptible to drowning in water, but it never goes close enough to the coast for anyone to be able to try it, and Water gears have no effect on it.

Appearences in Canon

The Erdetrix and its story were mostly related in EFWQ XVI: Rebels of the Ominous Judgekings, where it appeared as an optional boss. It was however, impossible to defeat, but a neat little way to kill time while watching your characters get slaughtered with beautiful graphics.

It is also noted that the Erdetrix was the only force on Battal that could make Char Reyarteb cry.

It is rumored that Erdetrix will be the final opponent in Element Story.
