Intimidating creatures with tubby bodies covered in light yellow fur. They resemble a cross between a giant human and a wingless lightning bug, albeit with six eyes. They have think, gangly arms and legs and a squat, round body. They have insectoid heads and large, tail-like abdomens protruding from their posteriors. From these bulbous organs, they can produce bright lights and bolts of lightning. In darkness, their bodies glow yellowish-white. They feed by lurking in caves and then ambushing prey with blasts of light and electricity.

Etegaunts only gather in large numbers to breed during thunderstorms.
