Festival of Leaf'ed Greatness
The highest holiday of Arkleaf. The Festival of Leaf'ed Greatness celebrates the sheltering forest of the Arkenvale, and is marked by a time of solitary reflection on the Leaf Lords and the planting of saplings.
The Leaf Lords
The story of the Leaf Lords has been handed down for centuries, knowledge of their story is based mainly on the sacred text of the Shamanic Priest Caste of Arkleaf the Way of the Forest. Particularly the Dewy Maple and Spring of Life chapters which speak in detail of their teachings and expoits, as well as outlining the principals of Leaf'ed Greatness.
Theories on the origins of the Festival of Leaf'd Greatness
Many different dates have been proposed for the origin of the Festival of Leaf'ed Greatness, but ultimately the 2nd of Post-Mendianary was selected because this date coincides with an ancient preforest holy day, and it was thought that converts could join the new religion without giving up their traditional holiday. It was only necessary for them to joyfully celebrate the ways of the forest, instead of the ways of the plains.
Secular Customs
Even those who no longer follow the teachings of the Leaf Lords (those of the other factions) still have traditions which they participate in around the festival season. Some traditions are common, where as others are specific to one of the factions.
Shared Traditions
- presenting of Dark Gifts

Note: Late in the history of Arkleaf, it was fashionable to call The Festival of Leaf'ed Greatness the Festival Season, where conservative members of the Shamanic Priest Caste were offended by the dropping of references to Leaf'ed Greatness.
