Furniliar Funtime
The Wizbits, Episode 306
Aired 13th October, 2001
Synopsis
The Wizbits take a break and enjoy a Furniliar festival. Eventually Penny gets jealous of the fantastic furniliars on display and decides to take one, none other than Mootie the Ottoman, star of the Wizbits video game Fuzzy Ottoman, despite his protests.
The gang is distressed when they find out Penny has stolen a furniliar when she already has a familiar--but before they can fully resolve things, out comes MooMaa in his latest guise, Beastlord Moo Maa. With him is a horde of powerful predators and, for the furniliars, a plague of termites. The Wizbits have a mad dash to keep the furniliars and the festival-goers safe from attack, with a little help from Mootie.
At the end of the show, Penny apologizes for taking Mootie and promises she'll appreciate her gnarled land squid much more.
Moral
Skip: Remember, you can't save everyone in a fight. There's a reason why we have "acceptable losses" in war!
Notes
- The original episode featured extensive montages at a Japanese-style festival, including goldfishing booths, fish-shaped sweet-bean pastries, and "deep hormone massage" tents. Much of it was replaced by new footage.
- The new footage, written and animated by James Langomedes, altered the plot conciderably, including the destruction of several of the furniliars, for effect.
- The destruction of the furniliars is accompanied by intense and grotesque poetry read aloud by Langomedes himself, describing the sensations of being consumed from the inside out by thousands of... oh god, { know this is supposed to be an encyclopedia but I can't bring myself to remember. Oh god the nightmares.
- This episode's popularity widely depends on how high your tolerance for unspeakable horror is.
