The Gates of Arkleaf

Access to the city of Arkleaf is controlled by the giant Gates of Arkleaf. Construction of the gate was mandated by the High Council of Arkleaf during a time when a particularly effective administrator was able to compel the council to get things done.

The Gates were constructed using knowledge and expertise from each of the trade-craft factions within Arkleaf. The Cohoris contributed the elaborately crafted and intricate carvings and handle-work that grace both sides of the mighty gates. This added nothing to the defensability of the gate, but the fame of its beauty and craftsmanship was known of far and wide.

It is said that the Grim Vapor Lords added a "special" feature which was kept a carefully guarded "secret". When a Vapor Lord was asked what this feature was the subject was quickly changed.
