Gayzor Mountains
The grand Gayzor range is a popular tourist spot of the Fancy Men, being the prime playing location for the magnificent, high impact sport of Ga YZ'or. Named after it's athletic, moderately violent inventor, Lord Ga, Twelfth Duke of YZ'or, Ga Y'Zor mostly consists of throwing hard balls so as to bank them off the mountains' numerous cliffs and walls and into other, previously thrown balls. A successful hit will often be celebrated with a cry of "Ga Y'Zor!"--it is believed that the constant ringing of this cheer echoing down to the plains surrounding it lent its name to the mountain itself.
A competing theory is that the mountains are named for the geysers and hot springs endemic to the area, with the name having been corrupted by countless translations. There are certain obvious flaws with this idea.
After a hard day of sport, its participants are known to unwind in the many lodges and cabins dotting the peaks, where the dulcet tones of the YZ'orian flute can lull the worst insomniac to sleep in minutes.
The features of the mountains were extensively covered in the controversial, but acclaimed novella: Barbarian Mountain.
Discussion
Looks nice and solid, well fleshed.
Fleshy is certainly a very good word when describing the Gayzor Mountains, yes. -TychoCelchuuu
Yes. And solid, too. ~patkelly
Well, at least there won't be any talk of the article being inappropriate, now. The discussion, however... :P ~ Charmy
I think this is in the faeriwraithelands... anybody know if that's accurate?
Well if it exists anywhere in Battal you can probably find out where it is in the World of Battal Sourcebook but it would take days to go through the index on that thing.
