Beliefs
The religion of the Ecreekem. Gespechians are dedicated to Gespechio and believe that the purpose of life is to fufill Gespechio's intentions in creating them. Gespechio's intentions being to see if he could create a race made from wood and clay. While not technically part of the Gespechian catachism, they also persue Gespechio's interest in fine cuisine (Gespechio ate food while the Ecreekem did not).
History
Soon after Gespechio created them from wood and clay, the Ecreekem began the perverse practice of worshiping him as their creator. Ceremonies originally involved choral song, dance, and conversation with Gespechio himself. Later ceremonies came to be centered around trimming and pretending to eat Gespechio's fingernails (or simulacrum thereof). Bored Gespechio eventually forsook the ceremonies and the Ecreekem leaders tried to improve attendance by adding in elements of Ecreekem popular culture including their highly emotive Ecreek Polkapop, moving their arms while dancing, and wearing copies of Gespechio's Marvelous Fanny Pack of Many Colors. Sadly, the Hierarchs take exception to polkapop and slay all those who practice it.
