Of the many who sought the Shimmering Sword of Life, one of the 100 Swords of Sepathok, Gothar the Unhealthy was among the few that actually succeeded, albeit in his case, that success was not long lived.

 

For although this mystic and eldritch blade, forged by the great dwarven smith Gragnakas, endowed the user with prolonged life and protection from all harm, Gothar did not take into account the fact that one could still die from natural causes.

 

Interestingly enough, Gothar the Unhealthy, a well known consumer of Fish Cheese, represents the only recorded death resulting from severely advanced halitosis.
