The Great Plateaus
Dominating the southern regions of The Kingdom of Yymp is the vast and forboding Mist Sea. Rising from the fog are the Great Plateaus, on which there are fields of wheat, grasslands, hamlets, and various scattered farm houses, as well as varied plant life and tribes of Grottolings and herds of Rain Deer.
Inhabitants of the Plateaus never travel down into the trecherous plains below the mist, instead the plateaus are connected by a series of suspended cable cars called skycarts.
They got into the shaky skycart which was nothing more than some tough wooden planks nailed into a rough framework with a strong leather band stretched around it. There were strong supports attaching it to a large iron fixture. Yorn climbed in and pulled the lever. The cart jerked into motion and began the unsteady journey across the nearly quarter of a mile of cable. He looked into Trisha's eyes and saw a beautiful comfort, then he looked down into the sea of fog and saw gloom. He knew that below that second layer of clouds lay another life, a whole other civilization.

In later history, after the Mist Sea was dispelled, the High-Elves took up residence in the southern most of the Great Plateaus, which they named Greytf'ld'd. It was here that they farmed their largest and most ambitious High-Elvin Crop Fields, and also here where they fought their Vampyre attackers in the Unlight War.
