Grumgum Scrum

A fan term for an escalating newsgroup flame war. Based on the bugglywump behavior of killing other bugglywumps for their food, grumgum, which grows on the corpses of bugglywumps, therefore attracting more bugglywumps and sparking more killings.

The parallels are obvious.
