General Gyntyllion of the Cohoris Guard
Great Staffmaster General of the Cohoris Guard during the Siege of Arkleaf. Gyntyllion was also "Acting High Knitting-Master" from 17,959-970. An accomplished basket weaver and Battlestaff poser, he was also a valiant, although ill prepared, warrior who lived and died by a code of honor and bravery not often displayed by other Cohoris during the siege. He was beheaded in 17,970 when he rushed to the gates to defend them just as the War Men had breached the walls.
History credits Gyntyllion with singing the Waning of the Cohoris with his guard during the great Cohoris retreat out the back door of Arkleaf, but was in fact struck down before this event, and additionally it is not in fitting with his character.

I had always thought that Gyntyllion did retreat and sing "The Waning of the Cohoris", but then had a change of heart and came back to Arkleaf.
