Halls of Va

The Halls of Va is the sanctuary of the dreaded NightLairds. It is said to be the largest free-standing structure in Battal, rivalled only by the Temple of Cheese in Leng.

The Halls of Va were expanded by the Palaces of Va. The NightLairds added the Dungeons of Va as somewhere to keep their captives. Later the Cathedral of Va was built as another wing to the building and then the Museum And Gift Shop of Va was started soon after. The Great Factories of Va were completed in less than a year and became the source of much of the NightLairds' incredible wealth and power, and the Mercury Boiling Plant of Va consolidated Va's position as an industrial powerhouse. Towards the end of the building period the Hotel Va and the Va Observatory were constructed simultaneously, and the Conservatory of Va, the Nicely Painted Ceiling of Va and the Enormous But Very Full Bank Vaults of Va were the last of the the additions to be completed before the fall of the NightLairds.

The Mercury Boiling Plant of Va was a peculiar addition, as boiling mercury was well-known as the only weakness of the NightLairds.

After the fall of the NightLairds in 23,351, the Halls of Va sat abandoned for millenia, the dread they inspired hung over the place like a protective shroud. Ultimately, the halls became filled with horrible creatures and evil men and finally, in the year 26,113 they came streaming forth upon an unsuspecting Arvalyyon, swelling the ranks of the marauders in the War That Ended the Peace.
