Hand of the North

Wandering dazed and confused from the whirlwind experience he had just had, he stumbled out of the run-down barn where he had been stowed and discovered he was no longer in Mandleclang, but in Morlond's Field.

The residents of the small town where he found himself were a little surprised by his sudden appearance in their midst, but not shocked at all by his mad ravings of obscene couplings with various creatures and animals given the long history of chronic madness so common in these lands.

For days he was barely coherent but accosted many of the patrons of the local inn with ramblings of needing a hand and needing to travel north. Additionally, residents were able to glean that his name was Rothgar and that he had quite a number of titles. This also was not entirely unusual in this region, but it did surprise them to find that "Emperor of Morlond's Field" was not in his list of titles.

Eventually Rothgar found passage back to Mandleclang, leaving the villagers only vague notions of the combination of "hand", "north", and "at least, like, 25 titles."

By the time of Rothgar's return his new title The Hand of the North had preceded him, and he was all too happy to have another title added to his growing list.
