Healix Freena

A Mean Elf Dark Cleric healer and bondswoman of Queen-Princess Xanzandrinzel in Great Gandandersanden. Known to be rather quiet and unusually bookish, Freena enjoys reading overworld reference tomes in her spare time, most notably Aardnarsh's Compendium. She also can have her ire easily raised when discussing the Slightly Older Ones, for whom she has great fear and respect.

Freena appears in The Dawn of Unlight's Setting, Part 2: Victory's Deathknell where, during the Unlight War, a horde of Vampyre Elemenstors lead by Dark Lord Prick'd, pushes their assault on the Mean Elves all the way to the gates of Great Gandandersanden. When things look their bleakest Quailheart and S'yrf'yl the Immortal come to offer aid. Queen-Princess Xanzandrinzel orders Freena and warrior Cutter Glade to assist them in mounting a counter-attack.

At first she is quite put off by these outsiders and has nothing but harsh words for them, but their companionable natures and valor in battle eventually win her over. Before too long she has a brief affair with S'yrf'yl the Immortal, but this does not last, and after witnessing a striking display of Bw'lon by Quailheart she begins open courtship of him. This relationship blossoms and continues throughout the book.
