Howling Dark

The ectoplasmic and highly polymorphous blade of MooMaa. An Ecto-Sword crafted from its wielder's own essence, it served as a focus for several of his abilities, and shared his penchant for taking numerous forms. No matter what form it took, it maintained the same mocking personality. In early episodes of The Wizbits, it spoke nearly every scene it appeared in; towards the end of the series, many writers forgot it even spoke until reminded with the Reminder Stick. Howling Dark is most widely-known for making snarky comments about The Wizbits' names during their epic final encounter.

The episode in which he appeared in was infamous for managing to slip the word "shit" past the censors. A mild uproar emerged over the word getting through, and yet, ironically, the word was never edited out of later reruns. Some attribute this to excessive stress being put on The Wizbits Cartoon's animators and director.

Howling Dark also had an action figure, the Howling Dark Speak-n-Slash.
