Imagineering
A bit like Battal's version of science, but forgoing all of the real world's precautions about safety, plausibility, along with ignoring the laws of nature.
In short, Imagineering is everything traditional Mad Science is, except done primarily with steam and coal as the power sources. Seen prominently in the Epic Fantasy Warrior Quest series, Battal has not stagnated in technology as so many have thought. Rather, a series of industrial revolutions has occured throughout the timeline. However, lax safety standards usually ends up with everything produced sort of blowing up in an incredibly violent fashion, setting back Battal for another century or so.
The Lawerence family has been the leading lineage of Imagineers for Battal's entire history.
