Insult System of the Yellow Trolls

Introduction

The Insult System of the Yellow Trolls is an elaborate algorithmic system of synthesizing insults in the language of the Yellow Troll developed in the Ap'str'ph' Mountains to berate other Troll species if they were too far away to kill with blunt weapons. It is fascinating to note that it can only be conversed properly in shouts.

Origins

The system was originally found in an appendix within side Book 3 that was left out when composing Book 2, which was met with negative backlash from the fans. Many fansites now feature the Insult System of the Yellow Trolls in full, reprinted from the Book 3 appendix. The backlash was so immense that later printings of Book 2 included the Insult System of the Yellow Trolls as well as other content levied in by demand via a petition with over 30,000 handwritten signatures. It was featured in a sourcebook for ELotH: TES- Pen and Paper RPG titled "Yellow Trolls" published by Black Fox Games.

Morphology

Most insults are made up of two parts in this system. The first part is either a second person noun as the perpetrator of an action following it, or a second person noun followed by an indicator of indicative mood, or a second person noun as a possessor or a first person noun followed by a catenative verb that expresses desire for the following action to occur. Then this is followed by one of the many components above. The possible combinations are shown below.
