Ithbarg

Ithbarg was the twin kingdom of Ithbarg II, founded on the 100th anniversary of the founding of Ithbarg II. It resided on the north western corner of The Shield, in the lee of the Beutrafficades. It was largely uninhabited except for small fishing villages on the coast and hermit colonies in the foothills. It was, not surprisingly, easily conquered by Vhadxi during the Vampyric Wars shortly after getting lost in Portund.

Central Ithbarg is rather swampy, and in the later history of Battal became the location of The Dank, considered a real cultural backwater, as most of far northern and western Battal is generally looked down upon, as unclean, primative, and uneducated.

An ancient gate, known as the Moonrock Gate "protected" the eastern borders of the lands. Unfortunately, only the illusion of safety was offered. Constructed from an alloy of Moonrock, the gate phased in an out of existance once per hour. Merely because no army had bothered to try to conquer this kingdom previously was what had kept them safe. When the vampyric hordes invaded during the Vampyric Wars in 943, the army was delayed by only a half an hour.

The little village of Moonrock Glade near the gate is where Faize Vanishing Cheese is made.

The northern regions of the ruins of Ithbarg, by the time of The Wizbits have become the brewery kingdom of Octobavaria.
