Jade Lotus

An attractive young adventurer, skilled in martial arts, as well as with a katana. Her flowing black and white silk garmets are at once tight fitting and gracefully flowing. Her passionate hatred of trolls earned her a place in the Trollslayers, a group whose mission it is to rid the populated areas of these foul beasts (additionally they run a hostile in Wangokyo).

In the series Megawangokyo, when Jade Lotus mocks Ooesuke Minigawa for his "ridiculous shoes" (not depicted) he flies into a homicidal rage and kills her family. This event is one of the many that exists on the knife's edge within the comic of tragic on-off dark humor and larger story arch tragedy. The reappearance of the character, and her subsequent relationship with Ooesuke (and the complex narrative issues explored there) were some of the first indicators of the coming change within the comic.
