James Bort

James Bort ran for office in Wisconsin in the mid 90s as an independant candidate.

 

During the campaign, Bort had either a fan club or a hate-group (the media was unsure and sources are unclear as to which) who gave him the nickname of ELotH:TES character Gonsuave Giovelli, the Legendary Lover. The reasoning behind this - even whether it was meant as an insult or a term of endearment - was unclear to the wider world at the time.

 

Bort's views on several key campaign issues were largely unclear and when failing to gain office he slipped back into obscurity.
