King Sc'rch'drth

Native of the destroyed realm K'th'ith'h, King Sc'rch'drth lived in The Magic Sword Kings Period. Though important historically for unifying the remains of the twelve realms into a single powerful kingdom, he is more popularly known as the tragic hero of many an epic drinking ballad, all of which describe in gruesome detail his death at the hands of 200 assassins (a rather flowery version entitled King Sc'rch'drth and his Miserable Groaning Howling Death appears in Book 8, chapter 3, as told to Asana Millytopthought by her ridiculously alcoholic uncle).

It's a rarely mentioned fact that Sc'rch'drth began his career not at as a politician, but rather as a connesseur of ales. Modest and fair by nature, his earnest quest to find the perfect brew led him to the far corners of the twelve realms and won him a loving following of well-wishers, all of whom swore undying loyalty to him the day he found a Magic Sword stoppering an equally magic keg of porter.

His fondness for ale was well-complemented by his fondness for Agash. Indeed, he is known to have written a tactical treatise on the game; sadly, despite its popularity during the Spica Wars, no copies are known to have survived The Sundering.
