Knuckles

Knuckles was the second of lovably inept War Men in the The Wizbits animated series. Like his companion, Toasty he was mostly a comic relief.

Knuckles was the muscle of the party, talking in incomprehensible language, which resulted in confusion of the protagonists. He is famous from his blank stare whenever Warchief Bogg ordered him around.

He preferred to smack people around, and then feast on their warm corpses.

In the Japanese version Knuckles was known as Nakurusu and was a homosexual with a crush on Tosuti (Toasty). He also spoke normally although his voice would often switch between a gruff sound and vocabulary to something more feminine, especially around Tosuti.

The character now appears in the almost unrelated (or is it all related?) anime Lucky Lucky Fun Fun Hour of the Day Today (今日日の幸運で幸運な楽しみの楽しみ時間) of which parts appear on the American late night puppet show Toasty Knuckles GO!!!1!

Is this true that in Japanese edition he was gay? - Jake

Yeah, I hear there was some amorous scenes between him and Skip that they edited out in the dub/subbed versions. I know a couple of fanart and fiction sites about it if you want the URL. ^_________^ - Squiggly

The thing with Knuckles and Skip was just fanfiction, Squiggly. In the Japanese version Toasty was always rebuffing Knuckles' advances, for comic effect. The fan community (at least the part that makes erotic fanfiction), naturaly paired off a character who was clearly gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) with a character they wish was gay. ~Lucres
