Item Law #300

The In Regards to Mauve Rough Guideline

This law is, as one might have surmised, not really a law, per se, rather more of a rough guideline (not to be confused with a smooth guideline) one should follow. Translations over the years have led to a loss of the original text. The most common interpretation of this law reads as follows:

  1. Mauve may not be used in describing any magical and/or non-magical entities (i.e. items), especially if the item in question actually is mauve.
    1. Should mauve be used to describe a magical and/or non-magical item of the color mauve (or the lack thereof), the mauve and/or not mauve item may be subjected to numerous inquiries by anyone who so sees fit.
      1. Should no certain individual/citizen (see Item Law #26) see fit to prosecute the item in question, no further action will be taken unless is seen fit to be taken (see Item Law #300, 1ai.)
  2. Should the technical color mauve be enchanted to have it’s own consciousness (at least enough to classify itself as an item; please refer to Item Law #141), the enchanter shall be prosecuted to the full extent of this law.
    1. The full extent of this law has nothing regarding punishment by prosecution or by any other means whatsoever. Be creative.
